Plein Air Landscapes and Seascapes

Painting in plein air was always an important part of my artistic development and process.  This is how my Dad, a great Ukrainian artist of Russian Academic school Leonid Steele started to teach me art.  Unlike in the French Academy, painting in plein air was a hugely important part of Russian academic education, reflecting much different visual philosophy of the Russian school of studio figurative tradition.
